Introduction to Ischgl, Austria
The tiny mountain village of Ischgl is a famous ski resort located on the Swiss-Austrian border. It is found in the district of Landeck, in the state of Tyrol, western Austria. Only about 1,500 people actually live at the village, but this is largely because it spends almost all year serving holidaymakers and skiing enthusiasts. The town is famous for its ski fields, of which there are many. In fact, it is part of the largest ski resort area in the European Alps, which is shared with the Swiss town of Samnaun. Ischgl hotels are extremely comfortable and convenient, having housed many famous people over the decades. There are many high-speed chair lifts, gondolas and cable cars moving up and down the mountain side near the town, making it easy for skiers to get between the slopes and their hotel. In addition to the skiing, Ischgl is famous for its after-dark parties and clubbing. Yes, this small village contains nightclubs! In the summer, hikers and mountain bikers begin to encroach on the town, meaning this is one holiday resort that never rests.other spellings: ischglhotels, otelin ischg, ischgel hotell, hote ischge, ischgel hotles
