Discount Gmunden Austria Hotels

Gmunden is a small town situated in Upper Austria. It is a very popular health resort town and gets very busy in the summer when the hotels in Gmunden can get busy. Here you can enjoy bathing in brine, vegetables and pinecones or make use of the inhalation chambers that attract so many people. The town itself has a limited amount of attractions but there are places of interest near Gmunden including the Traun Fall, a ceramic factory producing local pottery and Schloss Ort, a castle built in the Traunsee Lake. Many hotels in Gmunden are situated near the lake or the Traun River and although they can be quite expensive they generally provide a good range of facilities. The town is surrounded by mountains that attract climbers, hikers and cyclist and less expensive Gmunden hotels, guest houses and lodges on the outskirts or a short drive from the centre of town.
