Introduction to Bad Hofgastein, Austria
Located in the state of Salzburg, in the western region of Austria, the town of Bad Hofgastein is a renowned ski and health resort close to St Johann im Pongau. About 6,000 people live permanently within the borders of the town, but there are many tourists within the town usually due to its plethora of attractions. Many Bad Hofgastein hotels are extremely luxurious, not to mention expensive. Nevertheless, they are certainly worth the money. The town is famous for its ski fields, which are actually the largest in Europe.
