Introduction to Bad Blumau, Austria
The town of Bad Blumau is located in the southeastern corner of Austria. It holds a population of about 1,500 citizens, but welcomes thousands of visitors every year. The town is found in the Furstenfeld district of Styria, just a few kilometres to the west of the border with Burgenland. Two reasonably busy highways meet at the heart of the town, the L401 and the L440. Bad Blumau is only four kilometres from Autobahn 2, one of Austria's busiest highways. Running parallel to the L401 is the local railway, providing easy access to the town from almost anywhere in Austria. Many Bad Blumau hotels rest upon the main highways through town. The main attraction in the settlement is its health spas. Many tourists from the surrounding area and farther afield flock to the rejuvenating spas found throughout the town. There is an interestingly designed hot spring centre located within the heart of the settlement, luring many travellers.
