Trekking: there are a number of walking trails in this region with the more spectacular ones embracing wonderful scenery located in the Margaret area. One of the more popular treks is the 15km trip which begins at 10 Miles Brook Dam and meanders along the Margaret river.

Golf: there are several public and private golf courses at clubs or hotels for golfing fans to enjoy. To play at the private courses, visitors should either be a staying at the hotel or be an affiliate member. Miniature golf is also available.

Biking: there are many good biking trails in Perth, Fremantle and south of Margaret. Bikers will be rewarded with a good workout while enjoying the spectacular views that often include karri forests, the coast line, beaches and caves.

Water sport: numerous water sports are available around Perth including swimming, snorkelling, diving, boating, sailing, waterskiing, surfing, windsurfing, parasailing, jet skiing and many more.

Within the city, there are also several good walks to be enjoyed especially in the London Court area and along the Swan Lake. Bushwalks are available along the coast and Margaret river.
