Getting Around

Getting Around Perth
Train: train services connect many of the suburbs of Perth to the city centre. The Armadale Line connects the southern suburbs to the city with frequent rail services. The last stop on the line is at Armadale.
Passengers can also take the train to Thornlie. The eastern suburb areas are serviced by the Midland Line, which while the Fremantle Line connects the western and southwestern coastal parts of Perth to the city. The line ends at Fremantle. The Joondalup Line carries passengers from the northern suburbs to the city centre or vice versa.
Bus: there are several bus services in Perth including the free CAT bus services that shuttles around downtown Perth and Fremantle. The blue CAT buses run the north to south loop from Swan River to Northbridge and the red CAT buses run the east to west loop covering West and East Perth.
The Fremantle CAT runs a short service route confined to the harbour area. Buses usually run from 06:50 to 18:20 from Monday to Thursday, with extended services on Friday and Saturday.
