Festivals and Events in Perth
January Festivals

Australia Day: is held on 26 January each year and the whole city celebrates with pride. There are many events held in various districts of the city including the banks of Swan Lake, but the highlight is almost always the spectacular firework displays which are usually synchronised to sensational music that embraces the culture and heritage of Australia.
February Festivals

UWA Perth International Arts Festival: is usually held over three weeks in February but this does change according to the schedule of the University of Western Australia, who is the host for the event. It is the oldest international art festival in Perth and has become world famous. There are all sorts of presentations of new works in various media forms and by artists to be appreciated.
March Festivals

Channel Seven Crab Fest Mandurah: is a one day festival that offers street theatre performances and entertainment, fireworks, stage entertainment, a street parade, a water carnival extravaganza, a showcase of gourmet food and wine produce and a jazz concert. The events are all held within the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre in mid March.
City of Armadale Minnawarra Festival: is a premier art and craft festival that is held over two days at the end of March. There are several art and craft stalls as well as different cuisines to sample, amusement rides, animal displays, stage entertainment with clowns and other actors and a range of children’s activities.
Kings Park Wild Flower Festival: is hosted each year by both Kings Park and Botanic Gardens to celebrate the exquisiteness and variety of Western Australian flora. Many of the state's dazzling and unique native plants can be seen right in the heart of Perth. The festival also has displays, plant sales, activities, music and aboriginal dancers. It is held annually throughout the month of September.
October Festivals

Spring Valley Festival: this annual celebration held in October offers visitors the chance to sample fine local wines and beer, as well as delicious local produce. There are a number of entertaining food and wine trails held along with live music performances and entertainment.
December Festivals

West End Festival: this December festival celebrates life in the City’s West End with parades, music and dancing. The festival highlights the area’s varied mix of arts, customs and social activity.
