New Year Fireworks Show: the skies are alive with colour during the firework display that sees in New Year at Broadbeach Surfer's Paradise and Sanctuary. Thousands of people gather every year to witness this spectacular event. Conrad Jupiter’s Magic Millions Carnival: for two week in January, the Gold Coast hosts this extravaganza that includes a programme of racing, parties, dinners and yearling sales. April Festivals
Annual East Coast Blues and Roots Music Festival: is held in April at Byron Bay. There are many performances of live music and the atmosphere is charged with fun and excitement. May Festivals
Beenleigh Rotary Cane Festival: is held in May and is a great opportunity to celebrate the heritage and culture of Beenleigh’s through numerous activities including concerts, exhibitions, art shows, BMX riding and skateboard displays and the battle of the bands. A La Carte in the Park: is held in June and brings together many restaurateurs from the Gold Coast. There is plenty of food to be enjoyed and it is a fun day out in the sunny Anzac Park. July Festivals
Greek Festival: Greek dancing, food and music are the highlights of this annual event. With non-stop entertainment and fun, this is one of the more favoured food and cultural exhibitions which is held in July every year. Gold Coast Show: is held in July and sees a carnival-like atmosphere, there is plenty to entertain the crowds. Sideshows, rides, food and drink stalls, game stalls, wood chopping competition and rodeos are only some of the attractions of this annual event. Tastes of Gold Coast: is held throughout the entire month of July and features a food and wine tasting, street fiestas, lunches with celebrity chefs and many other culinary related activities. Gold Coast Food and Wine Festival: is held in Surfers Paradise every year in September. There are cheese making demonstrations, food and wine samples and the introduction of new Australian produce. December Festivals
Mon dial Australian Women's Hard Court: is an internationally recognised tennis tournament that attracts many Grand Slam champions and world-ranked players. Usually held at the end of December, this is an event that tennis players will not want to miss. |
