Brisbane Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary: is said to be the world’s largest koala sanctuary and cares for more than 130 animals. The Koala Forest offers 360° views of 30 koalas in a natural like habitat. There are also sheep dog shows, opportunities to feed kangaroos and lorikeets, hold a snake and be a part of an animal show. Other animals at the facility include wombats, birds, dingoes, the famed Tasmanian devil and more.
Tweed Valley: is located across the Queensland border in New South Wales. The area is known for its natural beauty and for having the largest sub-tropical rainforest and the largest non-active shield volcano in the world. There are many places to visit and lots to do in the area such as bush walking, horse riding and mountain biking.
Brisbane: the exciting city is just over an hour’s drive from the Gold Coast. There is so much to see in Brisbane including the Australian Woodshed, the botanic gardens, forests and parks, the State Parliament House with its unusual copper roof, St John's Cathedral, the Mansions, the Old Windmill and many other sites.
