A modern city with fully-equipped tourism infrastructure, Darwin receives a large number of tourists from around the world and is a favourite destination among Asian tourists. There are many things to see in Darwin such as various parks, gardens, museums, and historic buildings.

Charles Darwin National Park: enjoys an easily accessible location within a few kilometers from the city centre. The park is one of the country’s most important woodlands and was part of a network of military sites during the WWII. There is a lovely picnic area which is perfect for relaxing amid beautiful nature.

Indo-Pacific Marine and Australian Pearling Exhibition: is an impressive aquarium displaying many living coral ecosystems and plenty of fascinating underwater creatures such as clown fish, butterfly fish and sea horses. The building also houses the Pearling Exhibition, where you can observe the history of pearling and learn more from various audiovisual displays.

Crocodylus Park: is home to crocodiles, primates, cassowaries, ostriches, turtles, iguanas, lions and tigers. Visitors are able to these animals in their natural surroundings and learn about habitats, diet and characteristics of each animal. The park is located just 10 minutes away from Darwin airport.

East Point Reserve: is perfect for relaxation. You will find natural forests, mangroves, open parkland and picnic areas provided for visitors. East Point is also a must if you want to watch the spectacular sun sets.

Botanical Garden: can be found in the heart of Darwin, boasting exquisite collections of flora from northern Australia and other tropical habitats around the world. Walk through rainforests, coastal fore dunes, mangroves and open woodlands and be amazed at the myriad of plants which grow in each area. A self-guided Aboriginal plant walk is also available for those interested. When you finish the tour, relax on the picnic laws or take advantage of the barbeque facilities provided for visitors.
