Cairns Regional Gallery: the gallery is known to be the artistic heart of North Queensland as it hosts several stimulating art exhibitions from around the world.

Cairns Museum: has displays that narrate the history of Cairns beginning with the Aborigines and following on to the Islanders, the Chinese influence and also the influences of trade and industry.
Lake street. Open: 10:00 to 16:00 Monday to Saturday.
Peter Lik Gallery: Peter Lik’s work can be found in almost all souvenir and book shops throughout Australia. The famous landscape photographer’s work can be appreciated in its original form at this stunning gallery with its beautiful ambience. The gallery has a large international and local client base as it specialises in the sale of limited edition of high quality hand printed photographs, books and postcards.

Tjapukai Aboriginal Culture Park: introduces you to more than 50,000 years of culture of indigenous Australia. Using many forms of multimedia, including holography, visitors can learn about the making of a boomerang, how to throw a boomerang, play a didgeridoo, bush remedies and many other aspects of Aboriginal life.
