Cairns Travel Guide - Getting Around

Taxi: the Black and White Taxi service is the only taxi service in the city and getting a taxi can be a little difficult. It is best to book taxis in advance.
Bicycle: it is easy to get around using a bicycle as the city is fairly flat and the streets are wide enough to accommodate cyclists. Bicycles can be rented at numerous shops scattered all around Cairns.
The Cairns Red Explorer travels around the city and passengers can get off and on at nine stops for a nominal fee. The Beach Bus travels to Trinity, Clifton beaches, Wild World, Palm Cove and Ellis Beach.
