Skyrail: this is an amazing rainforest cableway that is one of the most popular attractions in Cairns. As well as being the world’s longest gondola cableway, it also offers stunning vistas of Cairns city and the beauty of the tropical north.
Wild World: is Cairn’s tropical hands-on zoo that has is home to numerous Australian animals. The acres of landscaped Australian gardens are beautifully maintained and provide a natural background for the animals. Visitors can cuddle a koala, pet a kangaroo, see a snake show, a crocodile show, a bird show, cane toad races and enjoy fun and entertaining talks on the animals kept within the park.
Great Barrier Reef: is said to have the cleanest and clearest body of water in the world and has been named a World Heritage area. Visitors flock here to enjoy the reef and its species of animal and plant life, the stunning clear waters, the lovely beaches and the lush rainforests.
Flecker Botanic Garden: the park is open to the public and is stunningly beautiful as it has many flowering plants, meandering paths, fern and orchid houses and a walking trail that crosses fresh and saltwater lakes.
Birdworld: is a large free-flight aviary located below the rainforest trees. There are more than 50 species of native Australian birds including colourful parrots, lorikeets and huge exotic cassowaries. Endangered birds such as the Amazonian Macaw can also be seen.
Australian Butterfly Sanctuary: is a wonderland of more than 1500 colourful tropical butterflies living in a beautiful recreated habitat with a stream and native plants and flowers. The butterflies are so used to people that they will happily settle on visitors.
