Alice Springs Travel Guide
Ride on a camel: once you are here, one of the first things you cannot afford to miss is a ride on a camel. Virginia Camel Farm offers fascinating safaris on top of these extraordinary creatures. The farm is about 94kms south of Alice Springs on the Stuart Highway.
Rainbow Valley: visitors will also love Rainbow Valley which is incredibly colourful due to the flowers, rocks and trees. Here, you can watch a spectacular sunset, hire a quad bike, enjoy a scenic helicopter ride and attend the station’s stock show.
Digging for a gem: is great fun, however old you are. You don’t have to prepare anything, as equipment, experienced local guides and gem cutters are all provided.
Shopping: if you want to do some shopping for souvenirs, there are many things to choose from such as opals and a variety of aboriginal artefacts. These can be found at any shop around the city or in the malls.
