Trekking: this is a very popular activity with both the young and the old as Adelaide has wonderful scenery and a number of places to enjoy long or short treks. One of the more popular places is at the Onkaparinga River National Park which has stunning vistas of the gorge and estuary.
Course: several courses on surfing, diving, swimming, water polo and aqua aerobics are offered at the Adelaide Aquatic Centre and Glenelg Scuba Diving. There are certified courses for scuba diving.
Some of the best trails are located less than 15kms away from Adelaide at Black Hill Conservation Park. The network of trails here are very tranquil with lovely views.
Water sport: surfing, scuba diving, swimming and snorkelling can all be enjoyed in Adelaide. There are daily boat dives to explore wrecks and reefs and extreme water activities include swimming with sharks.
Golf: is offered at several courses in Adelaide. The courses are immaculately maintained with different degrees of challenge. Some of the more popular golf courses include City of Adelaide, Glenelg Golf Course, Royal Adelaide Golf Course and many others.
Rock climbing: walls and gyms are available at North East road but for the real outdoor buzz, head down to Morialta National Park which offers several climbing areas that are safe.
