Christ Church: the church stands proudly on Montefiore Hill and overlooks the city of Adelaide. The construction of the church began in 1848 and has an interesting history.
Central Market: the market’s vibrant atmosphere will thrill visitors. Here visitors can experience a market that is alive with sound, colour and smells. Fresh produce including fruits and vegetables, meat and all sorts of unusual fish are also available here.
The Beach House: is a fantastic place to spend an entire day enjoying its relaxed but exciting atmosphere. There are several interesting choices to keep you entertained including the Soli Italian Formula One dodgem, several waterslides that are heated and offer rides of up to 130 metres, the 120 year old carousel, the 18-hole mini golf course, bumper boat, the Ferris wheel and arcade games.
Fort Glanville: was commissioned in 1880 but its colourful history has included its use as a caravan park. In 1978, the fort was declared a National Heritage Site and it is the most complete 19th century fort in Australia which still has its original guns. Some of the cannons can still be used today and are fired for certain ceremonies. There is a museum, a souvenir shop and a refreshment area on site.
Hardy's Reynella Winery: is one of Australia's oldest working wineries. It was founded in 1838 by John Reynell. The Reynell’s were the first family to commercially grow grapes in South Australia and produced their first vintage in 1842. Visitors to this fascinating site can enjoy a tour through the gardens and pass the old buildings of the winery before sampling wines in the winery’s cellar.
Adelaide Zoo: is located just a short distance from the city centre. It offers an educational and fun day out for both adults and children as it is beautifully landscaped and many is home to many species of animals. There are walk through aviaries, a reptile house, rainforests, swamps and many other interesting places to view as animals are kept in natural surroundings.
