Introduction to Whyalla, Australia
Located in the northeast of the Eyre Peninsula, Whyalla is one of South Australia's most populated cities. Historically, the city's economy concentrated on its shipping industry and steel manufacture. Nowadays, the city appeals to visiting tourists thanks to its excellent climate, clean beaches and sailing opportunities. Travellers can reach Whyalla hotels by flying to the city's airport from Adelaide, courtesy of Regional Express. Alternatively, guests can take one of Premier Stateliner's twice-daily coaches. Some of the best views of the city are from the Hummock Hill Lookout, just a short drive or walk from the city centre. This is also a good spot for a picnic on the nicest days. Visitors keen on dolphin-spotting should hang around the city's marina in the late afternoon. Dolphins often swim right up to the pier after following boats back from the sea. Guests can learn more about Whyalla's history by browsing the museum at the visitors information centre. Entrance to the museum includes a guided tour of a navy ship. Of course, no visit to the city is complete without a visit to the beach, where swimming is often possible depending on the tide. other spellings: whyala otel, wyalla hotell, whyala hote, whyallahotels, whyala hotle, wyalla au
