Wangaratta is a small cathedral city of nearly 17,000 inhabitants in the northeast of the Australian state of Victoria. It is around 235kms northeast of Melbourne and is the gateway to Victoria's major ski fields. In fact, it is the closest well-sized town or city to both Mount Hotham and Falls Creek, two major snowfields.
