Introduction to Venus Bay, Australia
Venus Bay is a small town of roughly 500 inhabitants which is situated on the east coast of the Australian state of Victoria. The town is located on a narrow peninsula, around 180kms southeast of the state capital, Melbourne. It has developed into a popular short-break destination for city dwellers and now offers a range of accommodation including Venus Bay hotels, holiday apartments and a caravan park. The town boasts five beaches, some of which are extremely popular among surfers while others provide excellent fishing conditions. The Bass Strait's waters lap against Cape Liptrap Coastal Park, which extends all the way along the coastline to Waratah Bay. There are several scenic bushwalking trails to enjoy in the coastal park. Venus Bay has one small shopping strip which consists of a convenience store, surfing and fishing stores, a restaurant and take-away shops. There is also the Venus Bay Community Centre where during the summer months, there are twilight markets and other community activities.other spellings: venus bayhotels, venusbay oel, venus by hotell, vinus bay hote, venus bey hotle
