Thala Beach Lodge Resort - Port Douglas

An exclusive luxury haven, trully a magnificent spot, for discerning traveller wanting to get away from it all and get spoilt. A series of rockpools allow guests to swim in a crystal clear water, and gaze out to the Great Barrier Reef at the same time. Not suitable for children under 12 years.

Each room is a bungalow, with air-conditioning and ceiling fans, private veranda, TV, mini bar, shower and bath. A mix of Australian timber and granite has been used throughout, creating an ambiance that blends with the surrounding natural environment. Kept in an excellent condition.

Lodge containing the Restauarant is also built on high poles, and offers uninteruppted views streching some 140 km, from Daintree rainforests to Cape Grafton, south of Cairns. Superb cusine, each plate is a work of art.

Small, character lobby is located in a larger bungalow (lodge), and looking out onto the spectacular vista, covering miles of natural beauty of this magnificent coastline. Houses a sitting area, and a five star restaurant.

Each room is a bungalow, they are scattered through the trees, built high on timber poles. For those not very mobile, buggy service is available.
