Introduction to Sydney - Darling Harbour
Darling Harbour is a popular entertainment district in central Sydney, Australia. This small inlet hosts a number of venues catering to families and visitors alike during the day, while appealing to young clubbers on weekend nights. The two sides of the inlet are connected by the Pyrmont Bridge, which forms a circular walk around Darling Harbour. It's easy to walk here from most parts of the city centre, such as Chinatown, the Town Hall and Pitt Street Mall. Travellers coming by train should alight at Town Hall or Central (for Chinatown). Top attractions in the district include the Australian National Maritime Museum and the Sydney Aquarium. The maritime museum offers visitors the chance to explore submarines and ships on the premises. On the other hand, the aquarium has glass corridors where visitors can walk underneath tanks which house sea life such as sharks, rays and other tropical fish. Visitors who would like to base themselves here for the duration of their trip will find several Darling Harbour hotels in the vicinity.Visit our Sydney Travel Guide
