Introduction to Sydney - Chullora
The community of Chullora is officially a suburb of both a municipality called Strathfield and a city named Bankstown in New South Wales, Australia. Although this suburb lies 15kms west of Sydney's central business district, it is still considered part of the region known as Greater Western Sydney. Although many Chullora hotels are located on one of the suburb's main roads, Liverpool and Waterloo, they still provide quieter alternatives to accommodations in nearby Sydney. A huge manufacturing plant was established here in WWII, and the remaining underground bunker and its accompanying tunnel system remain the area's most unique landmarks, even though the doors leading to the bunker have been welded shut since the late 1980s. The other large attraction here, in every sense of the word, is the Big Bicycle standing outside the local recycling centre.
