Sails In The Desert by Voyages Hotel - Ayers Rock

The high class Sails in the Desert by Voyages Hotel is set in the Red Centre of the central Australia, around 15 minutes car ride from Ayers Rock Airport. It is an ideal gateway to the Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park which is approximately 30 minutes drive away. The outstanding look of this hotel exterior is its white sails roof while the interior decoration emphasizes on combination of modernity and Aboriginal culture art and heritage. Significant artworks can be found in each guestroom, lobby and public areas. Regarding guestrooms, they are comfortable and come with a private balcony or verandah, and minimalist facilities including a sizeable bathroom, a hairdryer, bathrobes, air conditioner and heater, a television with movies on demand (charge apply), a minibar and coffee maker. Guests should not miss a barramundi steak at the award winning Kuniya Restaurant and there are a few more restaurants here serving various types of Mediterranean and Australian cuisine, each of them has different style and atmosphere. The Tail Bar provides cocktails by the pool and indoor Bunya Bar serves a wide range of light meals, afternoon tea plus evening cocktails. After meals, one of the great activities is to relax by any of the large outdoor swimming pools or to enjoy giant chess set in the playground. There are 2 onsite shops and an art gallery for those wishing to wander around the premises.

There are 2 main restaurants on the ground level. Kuniya, which is tastefully decorated with modern furnishings and an Aboriginal dot-painting mural serving as a backdrop for elegant dining. Located in the main building. Winkiku offers Buffet dining, light snacks & lunches. Tapas style meals are also served by the swimming pool (seasonal). Note Winkiku Restaurant is currently closed for dinner until further notice. Winkiku Restaurant is still be open for breakfast as usual and for group lunches as required. Tali Bar is open daily for all-day dining offering snacks, light meals and refreshments on the pool terrace.
