Away from Noosa Heads and the many tourists that increasingly flock to this popular beach resort, Noosaville is a less busy area beside the river that gets fewer visitors and therefore a great deal more peace and quiet. This section of Noosa is home to Lake Weyba, an extremely shallow body of salt water that about 100 years ago held a large population of stingrays and which today is an important spawning ground for fish. Noosaville hotels are plentiful and certainly the area is developing quickly, so get here before it gets crowded like other parts of Noosa. To get out on the water, there are a number of places that rent out boats and there is even a major shopping centre in the vicinity.
