Naracoorte is a town of nearly 5,000 people on South Australia's Limestone Coast. Travellers can reach Naracoorte hotels from Mount Gambier by taking the Riddoch Highway (A66). Mount Gambier is around 62 miles away from the town. There are several places of interest in and around the town, such as museums, wineries and national parks. However, the town's biggest attraction is Naracoorte Caves National Park. This park has been listed by UNESCO and offers guided tours of the most accessible of its 26 caves. These caves are well-decorated, featuring fossil remains dating back to prehistoric times. Visitors can also see the Bat Cave, now accessible to visitors thanks to modern technology. Adventure tourists and caving enthusiasts are among the caves' visitors, many of whom like to explore the more difficult-to-access caves in the park.
