Introduction to Mount Barney, Australia
Mount Barney, the second-highest mountain in southeast Queensland, dominates the landscape of the surrounding national park. It is a popular destination with birdwatchers and bushwalkers as well as those interested in rare flora and fauna. Many visitors camp in the designated bush-camping areas, while others choose to stay at Mount Barney hotels. These lodgings come in the form of comfortable farmsteads and country retreats. Most guests bring their own food but most local accommodation offers the opportunity to prearrange meals before arrival. Mount Barney itself offers panoramic views of the surrounding areas, from both its East and West peaks. In excess of 30 routes, varying in difficulty, lead to the summit. It generally takes around eight to 10 hours to hike to the top and back. Nearby Mount Maroon is more popular with rock climbers, where they can find some spectacular and challenging ridges. Travellers can reach the national park by flying to Brisbane and then completing a 60km journey by road.other spellings: mount barneyhotels, mt barney otel, mt barny hotell, mont barney hote, mount bany
