Introduction to Mooloolaba - Beach
Located in the south of Australia's Sunshine Coast in Queensland is the tourist resort town of Mooloolaba, with much of its attractions centred around its famous beaches and marine life. The town is situated around 100kms north of Brisbane and is home to roughly 7,500 inhabitants. The beautiful stretch of beach faces out towards the Coral Sea and is the main hub of the tourist activity. Here, the renowned UnderWater World can be found, an oceanarium, marine mammal park and wildlife sanctuary. Among the highlights of park is the shark tunnel, a moving walkway with viewing windows all around. In the same area are numerous souvenir and clothing shops and galleries. Mooloolaba Beach hotels and apartments look out onto the sea, while there are also backpacker hostels and camping grounds for those on a tighter budget, After a day's surfing or sunbathing, visitors do not have to walk far to find something to eat.
