Monkey Mia is a striving tourist area which is around 500 miles north of Perth in Western Australia. The highlight of the area are the bottlenose dolphins which come to shore. Many visitors stay in Denham which is around 18 miles from the nature reserve, but Monkey Mia hotels are available. There is a large resort which has on site restaurants and bars, and has daily boat trips up the coast to see whales and possibly sharks too. Hotels in Monkey Mia are simple and basic, but their location is truly spectacular. Clear waters, white sands and acres of untouched land is the reason many tourists visit. After landing at Shark Bay Airport, holidaymakers can get to their hotel in Monkey Mia quite easily. Taxis and rental cars are available to get around the area. Although the towns are fairly quiet places to visit they are fully prepared for tourist’s needs.
