Introduction to Mollymook, Australia
Some of the finest surfing in New South Wales can be enjoyed in the crystal clear waters next to the sweeping clean sands of Mollymook, a popular beach resort situated 225kms south of Sydney. Most Mollymook hotels are either holiday apartments or affordable motels located no more than a few minutes from the beach. Surfers, fishers and swimmers all have separate areas to enjoy their chosen sports along this long beach whose surf lifesaving clubhouse contains a playground and an outdoor exercise facility. The beach frequently hosts surfing and beach volleyball events. Whales and dolphins frequently frolic among the surfers in the bay. Calmer and shallower waters can be found inside the large and round rock pool known as the Bogey Hole. Plunging into the Bogey Hole from Dive Rock is only recommended during high tide. A more secluded beach is located in nearby Narrawallee Inlet.
