Introduction to Margaret River - City Centre
The coastal town of Margaret River lies south of Perth in Western Australia and is best known for its fine surfing beaches and its locally-produced food and wine. It's a laid-back place, community-oriented with little local shops, a brewery and local sights, such as mazes, lighthouses and several famous cave complexes. The main occupations for visitors are dropping into the chocolate factory and a few wineries for a product-sampling session, deciding on lunch, and heading to nearby Gracetown beach in the late afternoon for a quick swim before sunset-watching and supper in a beachside cafe. Several Margaret River City Centre hotels cater for tourists on a year-round basis, and are happy to offer advice on the town's hidden attractions. Outdoor sports are big here, with cycling, hiking along the coast, swimming and surfing the all-time favourites. A gentle walk around the town centre, ending at the Colonial Brewery for lunch and more sampling, reveals pretty old homes and churches. other spellings: margret river hotell city, margeret riwer center, margret rever hote, margretriver otel city
