Introduction to Manjimup, Australia
Forests filled with centuries-old trees surround the town of Manjimup, known as the gateway to Western Australia's Tall Timber Country. Most Manjimup hotels are either small boutique establishments or budget motels. Most attractions in this town 300kms south of Perth are forestry related, from Western Australia's only timber museum to the 50m high Diamond Tree Tower, which visitors can climb to admire the tall trees below. Beautiful wildflowers bloom along the 650m King Jarrah Heritage Trail between October and December. A tree estimated to be more than 1,200 years old awaits visitors at the end of the King Jarrah Heritage Trail. Even more wildflowers bloom around the 47m high and 600-year-old King Jarrah Tree in spring, while the four 75m tall Four Aces karri trees are more than 400 years old. Picnic spots and hiking trails surround the single karri tree which first formed the One Tree Bridge across the Donnelly River in 1904. other spellings: manjimuphotels, munjiup otel, munjimp hotell, menjimup hote, manjimup hotle
