Overview

Situated on Cynthia Bay in stunning Lake St Clair National Park, the Lake St Clair Wilderness Resort offers basic backpacker dormitory or cabin accommodation at reasonable prices in Tasmania’s central highlands. Campsites and a caravan park are also provided, with a communal kitchen and bathroom with laundry facilities. A restaurant, a cafe, a bar, a convenience shop, internet access and a camping equipment hire shop are provided, although those wishing to make a booking should call in advance to ensure required amenities are available. The closest settlement is Derwent Bridge, 5kms from the property on the Lyell Highway and home to a roadside pub.
