Introduction to Kingston SE, Australia
Featuring a giant lobster statue named ‘Larry’ by the locals, Kingston SE is a small seaside town in South Australia that sees a huge influx of holidaymakers during peak periods. Previously connected to the rest of Australia by a railway line, the town no longer has a functioning rail station, with the original having long since closed. This means the town has hardly grown in the past 40 years, and today it maintains a sleepy atmosphere for much of the year. The main attraction for the many visitors that come here during the summer holidays, in particular, is the beach and great seafood. Indeed, Kingston SE is predominantly a fishing town which also happens to feature a number of sheep farms and vineyards producing excellent local wines. One of the local fish and chip shops here has previously won the title of the best such shop in Australia. For the best of Kingston SE hotels, head to the northern area of the town by Len Lampet Reserve.other spellings: kingston sehotels, kingstan se hotell, kingstun se otel, kingtson se hote, kingstom se
