A beautiful place to come and do very little, Jurien Bay is an idyllic stretch of coastline in Western Australia, between Perth and Geraldton, with a fine beach. The seaside area here lies within Jurien Bay Marine Park and includes a number of small islands, all of which can be explored by charter boat. It is also possible to swim with sea lions off the coast, while dolphins and whales are regularly spotted here. The focal point of the seafront is the Old Jetty, which is a popular place for fishing. Just 15 minutes by car out of town is Leseuer National Park, an area featuring diverse plant life, including species not found anywhere else in the world. Views from Mount Lesueur, extending to the sea, are spectacular. The majority of Jurien Bay hotels hug the northern bend of Indian Ocean Drive, close to the local golf club.
