Introduction to Gold Coast - Main Beach
Few places on Australia's Gold Coast are as trendy or affluent as Main Beach, which is both the name of the community itself and the beautiful beach which is its main attraction. Luxury resorts along the shores of the beach may seem to form the majority of Main Beach hotels, but campgrounds, intimate villas, and mid-range three-star accommodation are all just as easily available. The main street is Tedder Avenue, and the upscale boutiques, bars, and places to eat along this busy street attract nearly as many visitors as Main Beach itself. In fact, Tedder Avenue is often considered the heart of the entire Gold Coast, but it is certainly not the only attraction. If visitors do not receive their fair share of water at Main Beach itself, they may also enjoy the many wet rides at Sea World, which also contains an interactive Sesame Street Beach, lighthouse, shark viewing exhibit, and the Jet Rescue Roller Coaster on dry land.
