Introduction to Dunsborough - City Centre

Since being named Western Australia's best tourist destination in 1999, Dunsborough has experienced a transformation over the last ten years. The influx of tourism has seen this modest sized city, 200 miles south of Perth, become very affluent. There is now a great selection of restaurants and cafes in the city centre, and a fantastic beach close by. Dunsborough city centre hotels are very luxurious, but it is also possible to find some more modest B&Bs in the town. Besides dining and relaxing along the seafront, there are some golf courses close by for enthusiasts of the sport, as well as a lighthouse a short drive away, which offers some pleasant views of the surrounding region. The area is also famed for its wine production and it is possible to check out the local vineyards. Once a year, there is also a festival in Dunsborough which encompasses art, music and theatre.
