The Australian styled Couran Cove Island Resort is peacefully located on South Stradbroke Island. It is close to the beach and is surrounded by mangroves, wetlands and a rainforest, and can be reached via around a 25 minute ferry ride from Hope Harbour, Queensland. This large sprawling resort has many lovely walking trails to explore, and guests can for a fee hire bicycles to get around the resort. The Couran Cove Island Resort offers a huge range of activities and recreations such as fishing, rock climbing, a spa, kayaking, conference facilities and a choice of four swimming pools. Accommodation is light, bright and airy. The resort provides a free shuttle train to the Surf Club, rainforest and the beach.

The Marina Deluxe rooms are very spacious with large enclosed balconies offering picturesque views over the marina or Spa Island lagoon. Furnishings are elegant and tasteful with everything done to the highest standard. There is extensive use of timber and natural fibres. Both the bedrooms and bathrooms are in exceptional condition. All bathrooms are marble and have separate shower and full sized spa bath.

There are various food outlets scattered throughout the Resort. The Boardwalk Bar and Cafe has light meals and snacks through out the day. The Poolside Cafe at Spa Island offers yummy buffet breakfast and delicious wood fire pizzas for lunch and dinner. The 'Restaurant' offers superb fine dining in the evening with an award winning a la carte menu and an excellent wine list. The Surf Club is located on a private beach and serves fresh seafood for lunch and dinner in a relaxed, coastal atmosphere.
