Coolum Beach is a resort, unsurprisingly, built up alongside a beach. Quieter than the likes of Surfers Paradise or Noosa, this beach resort nevertheless sees a steady stream of both domestic and international visitors. Water sports such as surfing, diving and windsurfing are among the top activities in this Sunshine Coast resort. Beach life is the primary attraction here, with little in the way of sightseeing, shopping or the razzle-dazzle of other Sunshine Coast tourist communities.
