Best-known for its indoor rainforest and international-standard golf course, Bonville is a small town and family-orientated destination on the Mid-North Coast. It is situated 10kms from Coffs Harbour, partway between Sydney and Brisbane. As such, it provides a convenient resting place for anyone on a road trip between the two cities. Travellers can also reach Bonville hotels by flying to Coffs Harbour Airport, a 15-minute drive from the town centre. There are regular services from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The Butterfly House, located around four kilometres north of the centre, on Strouds Road, is the town's main attraction. This venue has convenient access from the Pacific Highway. As the name suggests, this indoor rainforest is filled with butterflies and provides some great photograph opportunities. There is a maze of moderate difficulty here which is suitable for older children. Otherwise, golfers can enjoy a round at Bonville International Golf Course, one of the best courses in the region.
