Introduction to Busselton - Broadwater
Broadwater is a small locality in the west of Busselton, a town famous for its wooden pier, the longest in the Southern Hemisphere. The pier has its own museum and information centre as well as an underwater observatory at the end. The locality is around six kilometres west of the town centre, with much of the commercial activity centred on the Bussell Highway and its adjacent streets. Here, visitors can find shops, restaurants and Broadwater hotels. The highway is less than one kilometre from the coastline, where surfing is among the most popular pursuits. Inland, golfers will enjoy the Broadwater Par 3 Golf Course, located next to the Busselton Bypass. Alternatively, those interested in the outdoors can discover wildlife at the nature reserve on Greyteal Place. Travellers can get here by coach from Bunbury, where trains from Perth arrive at Bunbury West Station.
