Introduction to Brisbane - Spring Hill
The hilly suburb of Spring Hill is found in the inner-northern suburbs of Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, Australia. It is one of the oldest settlements in the state, with some of its architecture dating back to the colonial period. The central business district of Brisbane is located just to the south, within easy walking distance. Wickham Park is the main attraction in the suburb. It runs along Wickham Street and is now called Roma Street Parklands as it connects with the main railway station of Roma Street. In the park, visitors can find the Old Windmill, which is one of the oldest structures standing in Queensland. Various open air events are held in the parklands. The Spring Hill Baths are also the oldest in the state, and tourists can find many historic houses and buildings within the area, along with cafes and small restaurants. A variety of Spring Hill hotels are on offer and feature cheaper accommodation than most other areas in central Brisbane.Visit our Brisbane Travel Guide
