Best-known as the home of the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Boondall is a residential suburb in the north of the city. It is popular with both young families and retirees. Boondall hotels are most useful for those visiting the Entertainment Centre, where regular live shows include headline concerts and theatre performances. The centre is located near the suburb's main train station, which is one of the easiest ways to get here from the city centre, 14kms away. There is also convenient access from the Gateway Motorway (M1) and Brisbane International Airport, a 20-minute drive away. The motorway separates the Entertainment Centre from the Boondall Wetlands, a diverse ecosystem consisting of mangroves, swamplands and freshwater lakes. There are numerous paths through the park, including a mangrove boardwalk, but camping is strictly prohibited. On arrival, guests should head to the Visitors Information Centre for more details about the park's trails. Sailing enthusiasts can access the park's boat ramp, located on Nudgee Beach Road.
