Introduction to Batchelor, Australia
Right in the north of Australia, in the Northern Territory, close to the state capital Darwin, Batchelor is a small town of just over 700 people and the main gateway to Litchfield National Park. The park is the key attraction here, with its exotic wildlife including little red flying foxes, bushtail possums and saltwater crocodiles. Within easy driving distance of Batchelor along a sealed are the Tomer Falls. Within the boundaries of the park, this high, narrow waterfall is a stunning sight with two drops down a sheer cliff face. Just to the northeast of the town is Manton Dam Recreation Area, which makes another excellent site for exploring outdoors, with scenic views of two lakes created by the Darwin River Dam system. Batchelor hotels are numerous in the centre - a sign of the town's rising popularity as a tourism destination in spite of its relatively small size.other spellings: batchilor otel, batchaler hotell, batcheler hote, batchelorhotels, batcheler hotle
