Introduction to Agnes Water, Australia
Situated just south of the Great Barrier Reef, on the east coast of the Australian state of Queensland, Agnes Water is a small coastal town that is increasing in popularity among tourists because of its good surfing conditions. Due to the reefs further north, the town is the most northerly beach suitable for surfing on the country's eastern coast. This makes it an excellent base for exploring the reefs to the north for those that want to enjoy surfing. The old town here dates back to 1770 when Captain Cook came here, according to local legend, meaning there are a number of old buildings. Agnes Water is also famous for its sunsets and mid-19th century lighthouse at Bustard Head, which is open to visitors. Agnes Water hotels are mostly located on Captain Cook Drive, the main road in and out of town that ends at the old town, right on the coast.other spellings: agnes water otel, agneswater hotell, agness water hote, agnis waterhotels
