By air: Male International Airport handles flights from many major international airlines. It also services charter flights, usually from Europe and Scandinavian countries. The airport is fairly small but the staff are efficient and friendly. There are retail outlets, cafes and restaurants at the departure and arrival terminals. Duty-free shopping is available at the departure terminal.
