Maldives Travel Guide - Getting Around

With the exception of Male, most of the islands are fairly small and visitors can walk to places they wish to visit within the island. Male is the only island that has taxis. Visitors wishing to travel to islands within the tourist zone can use the following means of transport:

Seaplanes & Helicopters: Maldivian Air Taxi and Trans Maldivian Airways operate flights to all islands. Helicopters are sometimes used to transfer guests to remoter resorts.

Planes: Air Maldives flies to all four domestic airports in Maldives.
