Beaches: there are several beaches in Sihanoukville that offer beautiful white sand and crystal clear water. As Sihanoukville boasts the best beaches in Cambodia overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, it is no surprise many tourists flock the beaches during the summer. Even though the beaches here are not as popular as those in Thailand, Sihanoukville has some of the most excluded and tranquil beaches in South East Asia. The most notable ones include the Victory Beach, Otres Beach, Ochheuteal Beach, Independence Beach and Sokha Beach.

Bird watching: located in the Ream National Park, Ream Beach dœes not only serve as a great place to relax but also a sanctuary for tropical birds. You can come here and observe many colourful birds of various species in their natural habitat. There is a mangrove swamp behind the beach where countless species of birds can be spotted. This is a popular place to visit for nature lovers.

Preah Sihanoukville Ream National Park: those who want to experience a little bit of an adventure in the jungle should arrange a guided tour with the park office of Ream National Park. The park is not yet fully developed and lacks a sound tourist infrastructure so it is not advisable to wander around on your own. The stunning park consists of sandy beaches, two islands, off-shore coral reefs, mangrove forests and many kinds of birds. If you are lucky, you will also get to see the monkeys in the jungle and fresh water dolphins.

Falls of Kbai Chhay: are considered to be the best in the area boasting a stunning array of waterfalls. The best season to visit is the rainy season when they are literally overflowing with fresh water. There are many spots ideal for a picnic so it might be ideal to bring a spot of lunch to enjoy surrounded by lush green nature and the serene sound of the water gushing past.
