Wat Dam Nak: is home to the Centre for Khmer Studies, but it was once King Sisowath's royal palace. A visit to the building will give you a taste of how the ancient kings used to live.
Les Chantier Ecoles Silk Farm: is an interesting centre where visitors can learn about the production of silk, beginning with the cultivation of mulberry trees to the dyeing and weaving of silk. The farm also sells some of the best silk available in Cambodia.
Crocodile Farm: is located at the south end of Siem Reap and is fascinating. After you've stared in wonder at these ferocious beasts, it is possible to sample some crocodile meat.
Wat Bo: is the oldest temple in Siem Reap. Inside the temple, there is a fascinating collection of artwork dating back to the late 19th century and depicting the Cambodian interpretation of the Ramayana.
Wat Thmei: is an interesting wat that has a small memorial stupa which holds the skulls and other body parts of victims of the Khmer Rouge.
Angkor Wat: is stunning in its sheer size, the attention to detail in its carvings are second to none while its symmetry will never fail to impress. There are more than 3000 hand carved apsaras (heavenly nymphs) and numerous bas reliefs to be appreciated. The moat that once surrounded Angkor Wat is about 190 metres wide and very deep. It is said that it was once filled with crocodiles.
Ta Prohm: is a majestic temple ruin that has been left in its natural state. Much of the temple has now been covered by the surrounding jungles, but this only adds to its beauty and appeal. It is believed that this is how temples would have first looked when they were discovered.
