There are a few good options for day trips from Phnom Penh and they tend to be much quieter than the major attractions in the city itself. The focus for the main day trips are Angkor style temples and ruins and whilst none of them can match the splendour of Angkor, they do still provide for an interesting trip and a chance to see some of Cambodian village life outside the capital.
