Phnom Penh - go to the sobering killing fields (Choeung Ek)
The Killing Fields at Choeung Ek are the site of one of the most horrific mass murder sites in Cambodia during the Pol Pot regime with an estimated 20,000 bodies buried here but no one will every be certain as new bone fragments or bodies are found every day when it rains. There is so much to see in and around Seam Reap that you can easily spend a week here but a must visit location is Angkor Wat. The Wat is still rated as the world’s largest religious building having been built in the 12th century over a period of 30 years and been dedicated originally to Vishnu and then later as a Buddhist temple.
